Strong storms blew thru the River Valley Wednesday night of
the 25th.
This resulted in a 19 hour power outage which
affected our Russellville facility.
I want to Thank all our Team Members who made the extra
efforts to pull together and get us thru this difficult day.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Issues we overcame were
1, We were unable to sync any handhelds to pick up our daily
schedules. We had to sync remotely from a alternative location .
2, We were unable to open our normal bay door to get our
trucks out of the building, we used a smaller emergency door and drove our
trucks thru the back yard. We can now plant corn in the ruts we dug in the wet
soft ground.
3, We obtained a refrigerated truck from Fort Smith to keep
our perishables from spoiling. This took a lot of extra transfer work.
4, We were unable to schedule our route’s for the next day.
This was done remotely from an alternative location.
5, We were unable to sync any route handheld for the end of
day or pull paper work. This was done later that night after we got power back.
6, Zone orders were hand written.
7, We were unable to pre kit or run our light speed system.
8, We drank hot soda, as our employee soda machine warmed
up.
9, We had to hot shot fresh food later that night to several
locations as the power came back. We lost about 7 loads of food across
the River Valley.
10, Our Route management team worked 21 hours straight on
about 2 hours sleep.
11, The following day we had nothing left, The pic of Linda
some’s it up.
