How did you first learn about Imperial?

Buddy that just started on a vending route told me about it. He is gone now.

 

What advice do you have for prospective Imperial candidates?
Diligence in the small things pays off. Everything takes time.


What are 3 words to describe Imperial?

Demanding, Opportunistic, Hard-working


What drew you to Imperial originally? And how has Imperial changed since?

To be honest, it was a change from sales which I had done for most of the previous 6 years. Imperial has optimized overall operations and, from what I can tell, just about every other aspect of their business out of necessity. 


What is the favorite part about working for Imperial?

The room for advancement so I can better provide for my family.


What is your proudest moment at Imperial?

Becoming the “Veteran” route manager for markets. It helped me kick it into high gear and fix any deficiencies that I have had previously in the role.


Are you messy or organized?

Yes... It depends. Typically organized, but there are times that some things slide. :)


Do you have a favorite quote?

Hustle in silence and let your success make the noise.


If you could change one thing about working here, what would it be?

Budgets to celebrate our employees more often to help build relationships outside of work (Main event, Dave and Busters, etc..)


Motto or personal mantra?

Work hard now so you can relax more in the future.


Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us?

I’m a huge fan of hiphop.


Three words to best describe you?

Dedicated, patient, caring.


What is your biggest pet peeve?

Laziness


What’s one thing on your bucket list?

To own an apartment complex and other rental properties. (strange, I know.)


What’s the one thing, you can’t live without?

My family. Especially my wife and baby.


Where is your hometown?

Seminole, Texas.


Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?

New York City


What has been your Best Job?

Being a route manager for Imperial. I can appreciate legitimate opportunities for advancement that are based on performance and not solely on a degree.


Worst Job?

Selling carpet and tile.

Thank you for sharing. Drew does an outstanding job of keeping Macy’s looking beautiful! This a very challenging year to manage such a large account and keep it looking nice. Drew has done great since he started on the route. I always love to hear it when people at an account mention our people by name. It’s awesome that he mentioned Robert as well!

Everyone – This is the sweet spot that can be challenging to achieve within a customer. Great operational service and great customer service provided by the driver.

Sincerely I say, GREAT job to Drew, all that support Drew’s efforts and Macy’s as a whole.

Good morning,

Just wanted to pass along the awesome things a customer just commented on regarding Macy’s. He’d called for a CC issue (that resolved itself via his wife once I’d called him back), and he took the time to tell me about how awesome he thinks our services and personnel are. He said he used to work for BlueS&* and is just blown away by how friendly our people are, how well stocked our market and machines are, and how clean everything always is. He said if we ever needed a photo op, it’s this account, and you wouldn’t even have to clean it beforehand. He mentioned Robert by name and said our driver – Drew - always says hello and is super friendly. His wife also mentioned that it was one of our guys that helped her set up her account (the funds that were originally questioned by the husband).

 

I thanked him immensely and told him we surely appreciated it because he wouldn’t believe how often we hear only the negative, so it’s super nice to just hear that we’re doing good by them!!

 

He also said he doesn’t know how BlueS&* is still in business and I just had to laugh 😊

Keith,

I wanted to brag a bit about Stephen R.  He is a fantastic team member in many shapes and forms.  He always has a great attitude even when things are tough and is always willing to help in any way he can.  In no way, shape, or form am I his boss or superior but he always treats and respects me as if I was which to me means he does the same for everyone else.  This occurs not just on occasion, but every day I see this guy!  I would highly recommend him for a spotlight employee and think that if he applies or should be considered for whatever positions in the company where he can move up the ladder should he want to and continues these things.  So shout out to Stephen!!
